A grant from the state covered the purchase of a building, and successful fundraising to renovate the building enabled SAFE to move into a new shelter early this month.
Twenty of Rappahannock’s senior citizens, who were homebound, received hot meals through the Meals for the Elderly program funded by the United Way. A total of 1,350 meals were delivered.
