Voters and

Thanked

To the Editor:

I would like to thank the voters of Rappahannock County for supporting the Republican candidates in last weeks election. These victories in the county (Allen/Farris/Gilmore/Katzen) send a loud and clear message that conservatism is still alive and well.

The political pundits are reading many things into the outcome o£the ’93 election, both here and around the country. I won’t attempt to address those issues; however, by visiting around the county this fall I saw the level of excitement that our candidates had generated. The hope for real change was evidenced by the vote and the large turn out of volunteers working at the polls this year.

I would also like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work and the Rappahannock News for this opportunity to do so.
