In another development that would have undermined Katzen’s decision, Del. Andy Guest (R-15th) said last week he too owned stock in Exxon, but would vote anyway.
On Monday, however, Guest revealed that his financial handlers sold the stock in December.
Del. Katzen is not the only lawmaker to say he will not vote on the Disney legislation. Del. William Howell (R-28th) said he would abstain because his wife owns property near the Haymarket site.
Exxon’s sub8idiaiy, Friendswood Development Company, owns the land on which Disney plans to build the core of its historical theme park. Disney has an option to purchase the property, called the Waverley tract. i
