Dinner at Flint Hill

A turkey dinner and all the trimmings will be served at the Flint Hill fire hall from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12. Prices are $7 for adults, $4.50 for ages seven to 12 and children under six are free. All proceeds will benefit the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

Chili Dinner Planned

An all-you-can-eat chili dinner will be held at Chester Gap fire hall from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12. For more information call Kim Gilkey-Breeden at 635-5601.

RAAC Coffee House

The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) will present “Coffee and Confusion,” a midwinter coffee house event from 8-11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Town Hall in Washington. This date is a change from last week’s announcement.

Everyone is invited to enjoy informal acoustic music and readings by talented folks from around the community. Non-alcoholic beverages and pastries will be available for purchase. Bring your own seat cushions for comfort.

No admission will be charged, but donations to RAAC are encouraged. Anyone who would like to volunteer to help or perform should call Dan Lewis at 987-9158.

Spaghetti Dinner

The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will be having a spaghetti dinner from 6-8 p.m. on Feb. 11. Prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

CPR Class Scheduled

Washington Volunteer Fire Department will be sponsoring a C.P.R. Class for the general public. C.P.R. when performed correctly, can be a life saving technique.

Classes will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 and from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27. All age groups are welcome to attend. There will be a limit to class size so please register early. To register or for more information call Thora at 675-1282 or the department at 675-3615.

Support Grdup Meeting

The Cancer Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. on Feb. 22 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. For more information call 6753252.
