Other integrated pest management activities used to slow the artificial spread of gyspy moth life states may also be implemented if conditions warrant. These may include the inspection of recreation vehicles leaving campgrounds, limiting the length of stay in campgrounds to two or three days, and increased efforts to enhance visitor and public awareness of the gypsy moth issue.
Park managers are providing a 30-day review period and invite all interested persons to comment on the propsed management activities. The 1994 Proposed Annual Gyspy Moth Management Acitivty Program is available for review at Shenandoah National Park Headquarters. Copies may also be picked up at all Park entrance stations.
