At the Virginia Press Awards Winter Meeting in Richmond last Saturday, the Rappahannock News garnered nine of the 51 awards allotted in the graphics and makeup divisions for the 21 weekly newspapers in Virginia with a circulation of 4,000 or less.
The Rappahannock News earned 23 points, which placed it second in its group of weekly newspapers.
