Winter Book Sale
Its time for the Rappahannock County Library "Winter Book Sale,” to be held at the Rappahannock Library over President’s Day weekend from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Feb. 19 and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday. There will be thousands of new, old, and used books for sale. All of these books have been donated to the library.
Area Fruit School
The Madison-Rappahannock Area Fruit School will be held 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10 at Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria.
Registration will be held from 8:30-9 a.m. before the school. For more information call the Extension Office at 675-3619.
Pancake Supper
The annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper and Mardi Gras will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at St. Stephen's Church in Culpeper.
Prices are $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12, with a $10 per family maximum.
Innkeeping Workshop
Hie Conyers House Country Inn in Slate Milk has scheduled a one day workshop for prospective innkeepers from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27. The extensive workshop includes all the experience of the 13 years Norman and Sandra Cartwright-Brown have owned and operated The Conyers House.
The cost of the intensive is $100 per person or $175 per couple. Reservations can be made by call 987-8025.
Luncheon is included and a behind-the-scenes tour. Subjects to be covered are finances, taxes, lincense, help, insurance, housekeeping, food service, purchasing, public relations, advertising and all questions.
