Disney is the catalyst and the vehicle to make Prince William County and Virginia a world class community and state.

Should Sell
Exxon Stock
To the Editor:
Jay Katzen has removed himself from voting on the Governor’s aid package to the Disney Corporation citing a conflict of interest due to some Exxon stock he owns-as Exxon is one of the many big businesses that are the beneficiaries of Disney’s proposed theme park.
Del. Katzen is to be applauded for his ethics. But I am distressed t the ease with which he has removed himself from an issue critical to his constituents, and the future of the Piedmont.
Instead, I strongly urge Mr. Katzen to sell the stock. He could donate the money to a charity or charities of his choice, and become the active voice and strong vote we need in the General Assembly.
Gov. Allen’s aid to Disney comes at a time when housing for the mentally ill and housing for the elderly are seriously underfunded. To name just two.
