Farmers and other rural families

served by the Culpeper office borrowed $235,010 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farmers Home Administration in 1963 to improve farming operations, buy and enlarge farms, build homes, install water systems, and for other development purposes, J. Phelps Walker, local supervisor of the agency reported this week.

Rep. John 0. March, Jr. has urged Secretary of Agriculture Orville L. Freeman to consider favorably an intestified research program on the cause and control of York Spot, a disease affecting the York Imperial apple.
