which date from the turn of the century were donated in the fall of last year. The 128 volumes of The Official Record of the Civil War make up the majority of the gift, but the subjects of other books range into other military engagements. The collection, which belonged to the donor’s father, Alfred D. Chandler, is housed in a special locked cherry cabinet made by local artisan, Phillip Strange.
Photographs of local scenes by Rappahannock photographer Ted Pellegato were installed in the front hall gallery and will remain through the beginning of May.
