George Washington CarverPiedmont Technical Education Center recently held its Award Ceremony for the second quarter of the school year.
This ceremony honors the top student in each class, the most improved student, and those students with perfect attendance. The ceremony also honored students who placed in the local VICA (Vocational Industrial Club of America) skills and leadership contests.
Rappahannock County students who received plaques for being the top student in their class were Cheryl Smoot, office services I; Jesse Boner, alternative education and Melissa Compton, fashion and tailoring.
