Coyote Control

Program

There is a cooperative coyote control program between Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the United States Department of Agriculture. The Animal Damage Control program of USDA will assist livestock producers in stopping coyote predation on sheep, goats, and cattle. The one wildlife biologist works with livestock producers by providing information on fencing, guard dogs, husbandry practices, and the removal of problem coyotes.

If any livestock producers need assistance with coyote predation, please contact the Animal Damage Control Office at 1999 South Main Street, Colony Park, Suite 403, Blacksburg, Va. 24060 or 552-8792.
