Founded by Jean Leducq in 1983, Prince Michel Vineyards has won many outstanding medals for their Virginia wines. In March a Rapidan River 1992 Semi-dry Riesling won best in show at the Washington, D.C. Wine Comeptition. Very soon several medals won by Prince Michel at the American Wine Competition will be announced. In 1993 Prince Michel earned a gold medal and three silver medals, and Rapidan River won a gold medal at the 1993 State Fair of Virginia Wine Competition.
