The planners agreed to begin the first of the area plans for villages with Ami8sville. “My preference is to start with Amissville,” Mr. Massie said. “If we can do Amissville, we can do anything.”
He said the study would start with a member of the Planning Commission and three or four people from Amissville. He said his eventual goal is to include boundaries for the village areas for all the villages.
Mr. McCarthy said spelling out boundaries would define the service areas for eventual public water and sewer. He suggested the planners involve an engineer as a consultant in planning.
David Fannon, who represents the Amissville area on the Planning Commission, said that there are still many areas zoned R-2 and R-5 near Amissville that have not been built on.
