A few fine spring days and gardeners everywhere are consumed with an urge to dig. The dirt that is dug is a basic element for a successful garden and a fitting subject for the April meeting of the Rappahannock County Garden Club. The program on “What Plants Need” was presented by local gardener Lois Snead and included a discussion of the different types of soil found in do for plants and pointed out the best sources for each one.
