Congratulations to J.B. Carter for his selection as “Amissville Citizen of the Year.” He was honored last Thursday by the Amissville Ruritan Chib for Ids outstanding service and dedication as a member of the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department and Resuce Squad. He is currently Fire Chief.

The Walk for Life to benefit the Charlottesville Pregnancy Center begins at 9 a.m. this Saturday, April 30, at Culpeper Baptist Church. There is no registration fee. If you have not yet registered, you may take a list of donors with their names, addresses and amount of donations and register prior to walk. For more details call 829-1004.
Also on Saturday, April 30 the Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) will hold a one-day-only registration for 16-18 year olds. It will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Amissville Fire Department. Registration fee is $25. For more details, call Lydia at 937-5975. Youth from Rappahannock Culpeper, Fauquier or surrounding area are invited to participate.
