Library Dedication

A plaque listing donors to the Rappahannock County Library Building Fund will be unveiled at the dedication of the building at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 5. The Friends of the Rappahannock Library will hold a reception to mark the event in the Community Room. Refreshments will be served. All donors are invited to attend. Call 675-3780 for details.

Fashion Show Slated

On Thursday, May 19 the Fashion and Tailoring Department of George Washington Carver-Piedmont Technical Education Center will present a fashion Show “Fashion In Bloom” at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium on Route 15 South of Culpeper. The clothing, which is being shown, has been created by the students in the class. Everyone is invited to attend.

Amissville 4-H'ers To Meet

Benefit Concert

Peter Rater and R. Carlos will perform in concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 13 at Rappahannock High School. Partial proceeds will benefit the High School Drama Club. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Mountainside Market and Earth Gallery in Washington, Natural Marketplace and New Leaf Bookstore in Warrenton, Culpeper Music in Culpeper and Royal Oak Bookstore in Front Royal. Wresting Action Coming

Exciting professional wrestling action is coming to Culpeper, benefiting the Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad. The Continental Wrestling Alliance presents “Wrestle FestiM” Saturday, May 7 at Culpeper Middle School. The first bout begins at 7:30 p.m. The evening^ card features five exciting matches, including a light-heavyweight title bout pitting Culpeper own “Ninja Warrior” against challenger Scott McKeever and a CWA World Tag Team Title Match.

Tickets are on sale now in Culpeper at Minute man Printers, Little Caesars Pizza, Mosby Meadow Market, Tastee-Freez and Culpeper Music. General admission tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door; studnets at $3 in advance and $5 at the door. For more information call Scott at 825-6903.

4-H Day Camp Registration

This year's 4-H Day Camp will be held June 27-July 1 at the Northern Virginia 4-H Education Center. This camp is for children between the ages of 6 and 12 as of Jan. 1, 1994. Registration will begin Monday, May 2 and continued until June 1, or until the camp is full.

Only 75 children can go and the camp fills up very rapidly, so if you’re interested, come in early and fill out a registration form. The cost of the camp is $25 for five days, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
