phorming,” a way of connecting and transforming images, ideas, information, and experience. In a “metaphorming scenario” one learns, for example, that the energy generating an idea is directly connected to energy triggering an explosion. Such images create instant recognition in Mr. Siler’s art, which ranges from relatively small wall pieces to warehouse-size framed work, and portfolio showings.

Mr. Siler was the first visual artist to graduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Psychology and Art (1986).

The public is invited to meet this extraordinary artist for this one-day event at Middle St. Gallery. For information call 937-3638.
