Mr. O’Connell spoke next, “The most important thing for me is that any property owner could put this up and not have to consult the ARB. I do not think anything would have been said. If the ARB votes against this it is creating a precedent. There are a number of properties which are as focal. I think the ARB has come a long way but it has distinctly altered the perspective of what it is here for. It is here to protect the town from something atrocious or heinous.
