The Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office became involved in the case of a driveby shooting at Warren County High School last Tuesday afternoon when a white 1985 Nissan Sentra station wagon used in the shooting was abandoned near Sperryville.
According to Major Ed Streapy of the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office, five male juveniles in the Nissan stopped in Sperryville to have a mechanic check the car when it broke down. He said that it needed a timing belt, so they left the car and hitchhiked. They were let off at the intersection of U.S. 211 and Route 622. Soon afterwards, a late model Chevrolet Corsica was stolen from a home in Gid Brown Hollow. $
