This program for homeowners will be taught by area tree care professionals, along with Virginia Cooperative Extension staff. Topics covered will be: proper tree and site selection, the latest in planting procedures, pruning requirements, and fertilizer management. Tree insect and disease identification, along with management techniques, will also be discussed.
Homeowners will have the opportunity to ask Extension staff and professional arborists questions pertaining to their particular trees. Educational publications from Virginia Tech will be handed our free of charge to all program participants.
