Ethel Ramey
Ethel Golden Ramey, 92, of Slate Mills, died at Culpeper Memorial Hospital on Sept. 14.
Mrs. Ramey was bom in Castleton on Dec. 27,1901, to the late Robert Edward and Ida Noakes Golden.
She was a teacher for 42 years in Rappahannock County and a member of Slate Mills Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ramey is survived by one daughter, Mabelle Ramey Keys of Slate Mills and one son, Charles William Racer of Slate Mills.
Additional survivors include three granddaughters, Rae-Leigh Keys Wood of Boston, Angela Dawn Keys of Slate Mills, Deborah Ann Racer of Sperryville and one greatgranddaughter, Christy Faye Keys of Slate Mills.
Mrs. Ramey is preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Marcus Ramey.
Graveside services were held on Friday, Sept. 16 in Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Harold J. Eaton officiating.

Emma Lockhart
Emma Mae Priest Lockhart, 83, i of Front Royal died Friday, Sept. 16 in the Shawnee Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Winchester. i
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Maddox Funeral Home with Rev. Dottie Holden and Rev. Gerald Holden.
Interment followed in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Lockhart was bom April 14, 1911, in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Herbert and Laura Henry Williams.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Elmer Priest and Ashby Scott Lockhart and one daughter, Kathleen Spence.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Priest, Sr., Richard Priest and Winfred Priest, all of Front Royal; a daughter, Leona Henry of Front Royal; a sister, Anna Marie Mahoney of Front Royal; a brother, John Dudley Williams of Front Royal; ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. , ; Pallbearers were Chuckie Henry, Ronnie Spence, Bo Priest, Kenny Williams, Lynwood Williams and Jack Derflinger.
