Mrs. Florene Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Dodson of Colorado were Friday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Acrey Dodson.
Mrs. Bertie Hackley has returned home after being a patient at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Mr. James Hackley of Nebraska is visiting his mother, Mrs. Bertie Hackley for a few days.
Also visiting Mrs. Hackley were her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Dodson of Colorado.
Sympathy is extended to the Settle family upon the passing of William Settle on Friday and to the Weakley family upon the passing of Judd Weakley also on Friday.
The Dodson family reunion was held on Sunday. Approximately 80 family members and friends were present. Everyone enjoyed the day.
Ten Free Trees
Ten free trees will be given to each person who joins The National Arbor Day Foundation during September 1994.
The free trees are part of the nonprofit Foundation’s Trees for America campaign.
The ten trees are the American Redbud, White Pine, Sugar Mapel, White Flowering Dogwood, Pin Oak, Red Maple, Birch, Silver Maple, Red Oak, and Colorado Blue Spruce.
The tree8 will be shipped postpaid at the right time for planting between Oct. 15 and Dec. 10. with enclosed planting instructions. The six to twelve inch trees are guaranteed to grow or they will be replaced free of charge.
Members also receive a subscription to the Foundation’s colorful bimonthly publication, Arbor Day, an Arbor Day Foundation wall calendar, and The Tree Book with information about tree planting and care.
