Developmental Screening

Rappahannock County Public School system is sponsoring a free developmental screening on children birth to five years of age from 1-3 p.m. during .the months of September and October. Children will be checked for development in speech and language, general development, social skills and vision. This screening is not designed to determine if children are eligible for kindergarten.

Bowen Reunion Planned

The annual Bowen reunion will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Rappahannock Park in Washington starting at 10 a.m.. Family members and friends are invited.

4-H Cloverbuds To Meet

The 4-H Cloverbud Club will meet at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Rappahannock Extension Office. This will be the organizational meeting for the new 1994-95 4-H club year. 4-H Colverbuds is fdr children ages 5-8. Cemetery Day

Notice td our kindred; i.e., Bolens, Pullens, Dwyers, Gaunts, Baileys, Baldwins, Clatterbucks, Kindalls and others...we are planning an excursion to the Bolen Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 8. We will be in need of several 4x4 vehicles.

We will meet at the parking area at the end of Route 614 at 10 a.m. Remember those of our family who are elderly or too disabled to walk that distance. Expecting you to be there for them! Contact Wayne Baldwin should you have any questions.

A public CPR class will be offered at Amissville fire hall at 7 p.m. on Sept. 28. Fee for the class is $5 per person. Call J.B. Carter at 9374218 or 937-5125.

Beekeepers To Meet

The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its September meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Culpeper Cooperative Extension Service building, at the corner of South West Street and Davis Street. The speaker will be Bob Thomas, Agricultural Inspector, who will cover Winter Preparations. All are welcome: prospective beekeepers, new beekeepers and experienced beekeepers. Garden Club Kicks-Off Year

The 4-H Junior Garden Club will meet from 3:30-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the Rappahannock Extension Office. The educational club, which is co-sponsored by the Rappahannock County Garden Club and Cooperative Extension Service, is for youth ages 9-12 who are interested in gardening, flower arranging, and nature topics. Indoor Soccer

An indoor soccer team, the Rappahannock Ridgerunners, is newly formed and looking for more adult players, both men and women. The first game will be played on Oct. 2 at the Sports Network in Manassas. For more information call Mike DeLuise at 675-1809 or Bob Lucking at 987-3350.

Breakfast and Bingo

Castleton Volunteer Fire Department will be having breakfast from 7:30 a.m.-12 noon on Sunday, Oct. 2. Breakfast will consist of bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, etc. Prices are $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12.

Bingo will be played at 1 p.m. following the breakfast on Oct. 2. There will be a $700 jackpot if 75 or more people play. If less than 75 play the jackpot will be $500.
