They were defeated by Brentsville on Sept. 13,24-50. Coach Laura Conklin said, “They tried, but it should have been a lot closer.” High scorers were Janet Hitt with 10; Jessica Arnold with six, and Susan Jewell with three.
Stonewall-Jackson beat the Lady Panthers last Thursday, 31-66. “They played really hard and I was really proud of them. They got compliments from the other team’s coach for their ability to penetrate,” said Coach Conklin. Janet Hitt was again the high scorer, with 11. Jessica Ar- * nold had eight, and Patty Atkins and Hope Dunn each scored four points.
The junior varsity basketball teams also lost their two games last week.
The next home games will be this Thursday, with the junior varsity game beginning at 6 p.m.
