Apples are one of the largest
agricultural crops in Virginia. In Rappahannock County estimated near million bushels of fruit were harvested last year, probably the largest crop in its history. This year the estimate stands about 250 thousand bushels. While this is a light crop for Rappahannock, as is the case all over the state, the national crop will be very heavy.
