i Front Royal town employee had a hole shot in the roof of his pickup truck. A group of teens standing around Luray and Salem Avenues about 10 minutes before school lei out were apparently the intended victims. They were able to identify the gunman.
Wednesday morning the Chevrolet was found in Anne Arundel County, Md., when police noticed a suspicious car. After checking on the license plate, they learned the occupants were wanted in Front Royal and by Rappahannock County. They pursued the car for 25 minutes before stopping it. Mqjor Streapy said that Maryland police recovered a .44 Magnum from the car.
Five Front Royal juveniles were arrested. Maryland police charged two 16-year-olds as adults with possessing a firearm. Three 15-yearolds were also charged. All were charged in Maryland with eluding police, transporting a handgun and possession of a stolen vehicle. In addition one of the 15-year-olds was charged with operating the motor Vehicle without a license.
