The Town Council of Washington has accepted the offer of The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community to coordinate the Fourth of July Celebration.
The offer came after the Volunteer Fire Department, which has run the event for many years, turned to the Town Council for help in locating an organization willing to manage the traditional event.
