Earl Cave

Earl Burnett Cave, 49, of Stanley died Friday, Feb. 10 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

He was born Nov. 5, 1945, at Novum and was a son of the late Elza Alfred and Lula Belle Breeden Cave.

Mr. Cave is survived by two sisters, Effie Mae Ryder of Stanley and Edith Virginia Gordon of Etlan and four brothers, Charles Roy Cave, Nelson Ray Cave and William Edward Cave, all of Stanley and Glenn Leo Cave of Sperryville.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Feb. 13 at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray by the Rev. Ralph E. Sprong. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery near Stanley.

Larry Smoot

Larrv Ed\vard Smoot, 37, died at his residence in Charlottesville.

He was the son of Laura A. Smoot of Washington and the late Herbert B. Smoot.

In addition to his mother, survivors include a sister, Joyce A. Smoot of Washington; three brothers, David L. Smoot of Sperryville, Randy L. Smoot and William R. Smoot, both of Washington and a grandfather, Kidnsey Atkins of West Virginia.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Washington -Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Joel Cress officiating.

Found & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

L. N. Revercomb

L. Nelson Revercomb, 72, a former resident of Arlington and a retired administrative officer in personnel and budgeting for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, died Wednesday, Feb. 15 of cancer at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.

Mr. Revercomb was bom in Peola Mills and moved to Arlington in 1940.

He worked for the Department of Agriculture from 1940 to 1979 except for three years military service. During World War II he attained the rank of first sergeant in the 843rd n=N/g= ..
