Open House Planned Spring Mountain School in Washington will be holding an Open House from 10 until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28. Parents of prospective students are invited to visit the Nursery/Kindergarten, Grades 1/2, and Grades 3/4. If you have any questions about Spring Mountain, the area's only Waldorf school, please call the school before 2 p.m. weekdays at 675-1458.
Woman's Club To Meet The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27 at the home of Mrs. Pat Giles in Washington. All members are urged to attend and reminded to bring recipes for cookbook project.
Movie on Friday The movie, Out of Ireland, will be shown at The Theatre in Washington at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 3. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
Volleyball Tournament Set The Rappahannock County Drug Free Schools/Community Team is sponsoring a single elimination volleyball tournament on March 25. There is no entry fee. Each team of 8-10 players must be co-ed and include at least two students in grades 4-12. There will be a total of twelve teams. Trophies and ribbons will be awarded. Refreshments will be sold by SADD, Students Against Drunk Driving. To sign up a team or for further information, contact Joyce Brown or David Van de Graaff at RCHS, 987-8575. This event is made possible with funds from the Federal Drug Free Schools Emergency Grant.
