The Rappahannock County Consolidated Farm Service Agency fASCS) and the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service will hold an informational meeting on Federal Crop Insurance, (CAT coverage), and the EPA’s Worker Protection Standard from 2-4 p.m. this Friday, Feb. 24, at the Rappahannock Extension Office.
Bob Williarpson, Acting County Executive Director for Rappahannock and Culpeper counties, will address the new federal crop insurance requirements for participants of USDA programs such as disaster relief, crop set aside and loans. The cost is minimal and insurance must be purchased for each insurable crop grown.
