Edna Canard
Mrs. Edna D. Canard, 73, of Amissville, died on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
She was born in Sperryville on Dec. 17, 1921, a daughter of Elizabeth Atkins and Oakley Homer Bowen.
She was retired from Fauquier Hospital and had attended Thornton Gap Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances Elizabeth Smoot of Culpeper and Loretta D. Clater of Amissville; two step-sons, Randolph Canard of Middleburg and Tommy Canard of Middleburg.
Also surviving are four sisters, Mabel McClanhan of W'arrenton, Mildred Frazier of Warrenton, Fannie Clatterbuck of Bealeton and Magdalene Dwyer of Sperryville; two brothers, James Bowen of Warrenton and Sam Bowen of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four granddaughters, Debbie Sisk of Ruckersville, Mary Catts of Rixey ville. Missy Clater of Amissville and Lisa Smoot of Culpeper.
She was the widow of Robert H. Dwyer and George W. Canard.
A brother, Leo Bowen, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Moser Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Roger Frazier officiating.
Interment will be in FI i 11 crest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton.
