On behalf of the science students and teachers of Rappahannock I wish to thank the community for providing tremendous support to the Rappahannock Science Fair.
Deserving particular thanks are the people who gave time on two days to serve as judges. Our judges were Sean Kilpatrick, Robert Darby, Sid Gottlieb. Lynn Beahm, Bruce Sloane, Cady Soukup, Gill Webb, Charlotte Nichols, Paul Nichols, Holly Pendleton, John McCarthy, Jay Monroe, Maggie Rogers and Rosa Crocker.
Mrs. Rogers contributed in countless ways, as she has for several years, including coordination of the PTO participation and helping hundreds of students set up their projects. Jim Roszak again organized all the activities of the Elementary School. Dr. Kathy Kreyiing and Dr. Sid Gottlieb worked with the senior Division students early on to satisfy the International Fair safety requirements. Blueridge Technologies donated financial support to the Regional Fair and provided several judges to the local air. RCHS Physics students put in a full day: first they judged lower elementary projects, then they presented science demonstrations to many classes, and finally they cleared up the fair site. Administrators and teachers from both schools contributed in other ways too numerous to mention. The faculty and student body of RCES were gracious hosts. Thanks to all!
