Agricultural Consultants Workshop An Agricultural Consultants Workshop will be held from 8:30-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 2 at the Standardsville Volunteer Fire Department, Standardsville. The workshop, which is sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service, will cover pesticide recertification for commercial applicators in categories 1 A, 10 registered technicians, and private 80. Block Scheduling Speaker For its review of alternatives for block scheduling at the high school, the Quality Team has invited a speaker. On Thursday, March 2, Gerald Stover, principal of Orange County High will discuss semester block scheduling. The meeting will be from 4-5 p.m. at the RCHS library. The public is invited.
SVFD Sponsoring Raffle The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a raffle to be drawn on Feb. 25. Tickets are $2 and are available through the SVFD membership and local businesses throughout Sperryville. The winning number will be taken from the night drawing of the Virginia Lottery Pick3 on Feb. 25.
Walk-in Clinic Set The Rappahannock Health Department will hold walk-in clinic from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23. For additional information call 675-3516.
RAA Activities Planned RAA baseball sign-up will take place on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9 to 1 at Stuart Field in Amissville (Ruritan Building) and 10 to 1 at the Rappahannock County Library. Birth certificate and registration fee are due at time of sign-up. Fees are: $30 for first child, $25 for second child and $15 each for three or more children. For T-Ball (ages 5 to 7), the child should have reached the age of 5 by Dec. 31,1994. It’s time to start thinking about RAA sponsors. More details wi() follow.
