A Bluegrass for Humanity Concert will be held at Fauquier High School Auditorium at 8 p.m. this Saturday, April 22.
It will feature Dry Branch Fire Squad, a traditional bluegrass band with emphasis on old-fashioned harmonies, purity and austerity of style, combined with homespun monologues, soaring vocals and some truly delightful instrumentals.
Also appearing will be the Southfork Bluegrass Boys, a homegrown Fauquier group which now tours as far afield as New Mexico and New England. The family harmonies of the Kirk brothers, James Larry and David, are complimented by group members, Ken Windback and Mark Clifton.
Concert proceeds will benefit Fauquier Habitat for Humanity.
