that Roy Wayne Sisk approached him and asked if he knew his brother and if he had said anything about his brother. Mr. Sfarks responded that he did not know his brother. Then, said Mr. Starks, Mr. Sisk went to talk with Ernie.
Mr. Starks said he then saw Mr. Sisk walk outside. “I told Ernie to just get in the car,” said Mr. Starks. “1 made it to the car and he didn’t; 1 don’t know why he stopped/’
He then said that he saw Mr. Sisk walk up to Mr. Fletcher and throw two blows, one to the back of the head, and then another when he was going down. Mr. Fletcher did not fight hack.
Mr. Starks said, “When I jumped out of the car 1 saw he had brass knuckles in his left hand....He (Mr. Sisk) said, 'Yeah, M F_, 1 got a gun!”’ Mr. Starks determined that Mr. Sisk did not have a gun, but Mr. Sisk chased him around the car a couple of times while Ernie sat inside the car. At that time Deputy Connie Compton arrived from the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office. She called the rescue squad and Mr. Fletcher was taken to Fauquier Hospital.
