Miss Rappahannock Pageant

The annual Miss Rappahannock Pageant sponsored by the Spenyville Volunteer Rescue Squad will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 22. Rehearsal and registration will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 20. The pageant and rehearsal will be the Rappahannock Elementary School.

The contest will feature girls ages 2-19 and boys ages 2-6. There will also be Sisters and Mother-Daughter contests.

Pictures will be taken the night of the pageant by Ken Pullen Photos. Packages will be offered to contestants and the general public.

Benefit Bake Sale

The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group is having a bake sale on Saturday, April 22 at the end of the Fodderstack Race. “Look for our table on the court house lawn,” said an organizer.

Dinner Auction Planned

Wakefield School’s dinner auction will be held at Fauquier Springs Country Club at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 21 to benefit the construction of the new school in The Plains. Live auction with Lawrence Bennett and silent auction. Mrs. John W. Harre and Mrs. David W. Kelsey will cochair the event. For ticket information call 349-1257.

Open House Planned

An open house will be held at Belle Meade from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. Belle Meade is located on Route 231, Sperryville and camp directors, Susan Hoffman and Mike Biniek invites the public to attend. “Bring your bathing suit, the pool will be open,” said Ms. Hoffman.
