Shimmering shafts Qf morning light sift through stained glass windows casting shadows of warmth upon the sanctuary. Outside, beckoning bells announce the Sabbath as inside the pipes of a mighty organ resound with their prelude to the hour of worship, Tilling each soul with the glory of God and the peace that passeth all understanding.
The same glory peace is felt in every church and sy nagogue, whether simple or ornate, large or small. That sacred salve of God’s comforting and encouraging omnipresence instills in us the strength and assurance we shall need during the coming week, creating a buffer zone between us and the stress of daily life. We are protected ... not from distress, but from the blot stress leaves upon the spirit.
Worship in God’s House this Sabbath. God's arms will surround you: and as you depart, He will carry you ... removing the stress from distress... each dav.
