Health Care in Recovery

Health Care in Recovery is a closed 12-step meeting for Health Care Professionals recovering from the disease of alcoholism/substance abuse. This group focuses on recovery by sharing its experience, strength and hope in the following area: treatment facilities and needs, legal resources, disciplinary board process, aftercare monitoring and employment reentry.

Dinner/Ball Fundraiser Set

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the George Washington Carver Alumni Association a dinner/bail fundraiser is planned for Saturday, May 27.

The event will be held at Crystal Gateway Marriott from 6 p m. to 1 a.m. benefiting George Washington Carver’s Memorial Plaque. The allyou-can-cat dinner buffet will be semi-formal and no tickets will be sold at the door. The association is asking for a $40 per person donation.
