Belle Meade Day Camp on Route • 231 in Sperryville opens for its sec' ond summer on June 19. .-3- Two week camp sessions will run through September 1. Camp will be closed the week of July 4.
. The camp is an active outdoor -program for boys and girls ages 6-13. The setting is a 137-acre farm in the F.T. Valley with streams, meadows, • forests and mountains. Camp facilities include a swimming pool, a bath house, and a pavilion. ... Swimming in an important part of the daily program. Campers receive , swimming instruction and enjoy ; water games in the camp pool. • Swimming skills and endurance are -! emphasized. Campers will be able to earn Red Cross swimming certificates. Excursions to nearby rivers and hiking trails are a frequent and ] popular activity. ; -The camp day also includes quiet • activities. Campers write stories and • illustrate them and play math games. ! This summer we will also have wood1 working. The second Thursday of each camp session is an overnight. ‘ ■ Campers are picked up at several | locations (Washington, Amissville, ; Sperryville, Etlan, Madison) between 1 8:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. and dropped ] off between 2:45 and 3 p.m.
