Of the program for the concert Saturday night at The Theatre “If Music Be the Food of Love...,” Robert Criag, one of the performers in Ensemble Five/One, wrote, “Shakespeare was, of course, at the center of Elizabethan, drama, while Purcell was the leading composer of the Restoration theater. Their arts intersect in what has come to be called the semi-opera: The Fairy Queen. This theatrical tour de force combines A Midsummer Night "s Dream with elements of Restoration farce to form a hybrid pastiche of zesty impact....We invite you to draw up your chairs and shake off your troubles while we attempt to conjure a Shakespearean midsummer’s eve and spin a few moonbeams.”

The concert begins at 8 p.m, with a pre-concert talk at 7:30 p.m.
