At last Wednesday’s meeting the Board of Supervisors sent a new proposal for a Sperryville bypass to the Planning Commission asking County Administrator John McCarthy to inform the commission that the supervisors had approved the idea of exploring a bypass “in principal.”
The alignment shown as a white line on an aerial photograph of Sperryville would take oft' from the existing U.S. 522-21 1 shortly past the intersection with Route 1003 and cross the river downstream from the crossing on Route 1002. It would come out on the existing U.S. 522 to Culpeper just before the intersection with Route 231.
