NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF AN APPLICATION FOR A GENERAL INCREASE IN RATES BY COMMONWEALTH GAS
SERVICES, INC. - CASE NO. PUE950033
On May 15, 1995, Commonwealth Gai Services, Inc. (“Commonwealth” or “the Company”) filed a general rate application with the State Corporation Commission (“Commission”). In its application. Commonwealth proposes to increase its rates, charges and fees for natural gas service to produce additional gross annual operating revenues of $15,134,837, an increase of approximately 10.1% over Commonwealth's present aggregate operating revenues. The Company supports its request for a rate increase with adjusted financial and operating data for the twelve months ended December 31,1994.
In its application, among other things. Commonwealth proposes to revise its tariffs to improve the appearance of Second Revised Volume No. 1 and correct various errors contained therein. The Company also proposes to add a new banking and balancing service for transportation customers, replace the General Sales Service Rate Schedule GSS with a new Large General Sales Service Rate Schedule LGS and to add a new Natural Gas Vehicle Service Rate Schedule NGVS. The details of these and other tariff revisions are set out in Commonwealth’s application. Interested persons are encouraged to review this application for these details.
The Commission has suspended the Company’s rates and tariff revisions contained in its general rale filing through October 12, 1995. Interested persons should be advised that after considering all of the evidence, the Commission may authorize a level of revenues and adopt rates and revisions to the Company’s tariffs and Terms and Conditions of Service which differ from those appearing in Commonwealth's application.
