Mr. Estes has sought improvements to the present intersection at the Sperryville Exxon. Mr. Moore’s letter said funds for constructing an additional lane for westbound traffic on U.S. 522-211 so the current westbound lane could become a dedicated left turn lane for U.S. 522 could be added to the current six-year primary road plan. Construction, which he estimated would cost $150,000 could begin in 1996-97 “if land...is donated” and added VDOT has “received some indication that the owner (Miller Property) may donate the necessary land.”
