Of course money is an obstacle. Wrestling will be adopted by the school system only if we successfully start it. Start-up costs are $8,000 — most of which will be needed to purchase a 42-square-foot padded collegiate wrestling mat. The program will be run entirely by volunteers until it is turned over to the schools. At that time, the mat and all related safety gear will be donated to the schools.
