Benefit Car, Truck Show Set
The second annual Car and Truck Show to benefit the Warrenton Volunteer Fire Company will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13. The show will be located behind the Warrenton Firehouse at 167 West Shirley Avenue. Pre-registration is $10 (driver and passenger) and day of show $12 (driver and passenger). Spectators will be $3 (under 12 free.)
There will be hot food available on grounds and music by Sound Impression oldies, country and more. Award Plaques for Top 25 Vehicles, Plus Best of Show, Club Participation (most vehicles), Distance Travelled and Mayor’s Choice. For more information call 3477796 or 347-0522.
Bird Mart Scheduled
Hundreds of birds will be on sale and display at the July 30 Bird Mart at the auditorium of the Annandale Boys and Girls Club. Health Care in Recovery is a closed 12-step meeting for Health Care Professionals recovering from the disease of alcoholism/substance abuse. This group focuses on recovery by sharing its experience, strength and hope in the following area: treatment facilities and needs, legal resources, disciplinary board process, aftercare monitoring and employment reentry.
