Mary Tharp is working at Sunny Slope adult home in Flint Hill. She got training as a nurse assistant in Winchester. Although the job did not pay as well as her work at Aileen, she said she enjoys working with the people in the home and the variety in her work. She said she is glad to have a job.
Debra Weller is working in the mailroom at the Communications Center of America near Boston. She was a supervisor at Aileen and said this job does not pay as well, but the pay is pretty good and she enjoys the work. She said she tried working at the Wrangler plant in Luray but left that after she got stuck for four and a half hours in ice trying to get over the mountain. “I love this new job,” she said.
