voters have apparently been ignoring the campaigns to fill all 100 seats in the House of Delegates and 40 seats in the State Senate.
All voters will receive four ballots. All will be able to make at least three choices. Besides the choice between incumbent Sheriff John Henry Woodward and challenger Gary Settle, voters will also choose between incumbent Republican Del. Jay Katzen and his Democratic Challenger Sue Scheer for the 31st District seat in the House of Delegates, and a representative on the School Board. Voters in two districts will also have a choice for representative to the Board of Supervisors. Of course, voters can also choose whether or not to vote for candidates running unopposed, or they may choose to write in for candidates in all races.
Running without ballot opposition are State Sen. Kevin Miller, R-26th District, Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke, Treasurer Frances Foster, and Commissioner of Revenue Beverly Atkins. Three of the five members of the Board of Supervisors are also running unopposed.
