Barbara Adolfi and Frank Henry Rath Jr. were married by Rev. Jennings W. Hobson III at the Ki Theater (former Methodist Church), Washington, on Sept. 16.
Readings from the scripture were by the groom’s brother, John H. Rath, and son, Eric R. Rath.
The bride’s friend Pamela T. Rubin provided comments on her friendship with the couple and Catherine T. Morse, daughter of the bride, spoke about their love.
Music was provided by Brooke Bortner on the uilleann pipes.
The bride, groom and immediate families were entertained the evening prior to the wedding at the Sperryville home of James and Shelia Hoban.
Following the wedding the couple entertained family and friends at their home, Tranquility in Sperryville.
The groom’s mother, Mrs. Margaret K. Rath, had traveled from New Hampshire and the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Adolfr, came from Washington State.
Other family and friends were from as far as New Mexico and as close as Sperryville.
