done in the past. I have participated’in such areas as school sports, dances, drug and alcohol free parties, and classroom participation involving educating our youth on common law enforcement issues. As your Sheriff, 1 pledge to you that 1 will remain involved with the youth to establish the relationship between law enforcement and the youth of the county. '
In closing, I would like to refer to Ployd Stilley’s letter in last week’s issue that, I too do not see a desperate need for high tech traffic and crime fighting equipment. What I do see is a need for a Sheriff that will be available and accessible to address some of the problems that we will be faced with in the near future. I am not an advocate of tax increases or additional equipment at the taxpayer’s expense, but what I do advocate is addressing the problems that are at hand. By electing me as your Sheriff, the citizens will not be getting a Trooper pr a Sergeant from the State Police jbut you will be electing a person who-is a native of the county, who is qualified, well trained with proven leadership skills, and understands its history and rural needs, but yet doesn’t lose .site of the issues we are faced with tomorrow. Through my availability &nd accessibility that I have pledged from the beginning, we can provide a better tomorrow. Does Sheriff Woodward really know all there is to know? I feel it is time for a change.
I ask for your support and vote on Tuesday, Nov. 7. If you are unable to get to the polls and need transpdrtation or if you have any questions regarding the issues or my campaign please call me at 987-8109.
